Re: Problems Loading Assemblies After Upgrading from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2012

Not to argue with Don who sites right next to me, so if I get him going he can hurt me LOL.

The app has been recompiled using CRVS, thus the error:

"Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecision.Windows.Forms, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken-692fbea5521e1304'

What the error is saying is that the version 13 runtime has not been deployed to the tester's computer. You have three options there; MSI, MSM, ClickOnce. For now, I'd recommend the MSI. Direct link to the MSI is:

http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/cr4vs2010/CRforVS_redist_install_32bit_13_0_10.zip

(Assuming you are still compiling as 32 bit.). The 64 bit MSI is here:

http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/cr4vs2010/CRforVS_redist_install_64bit_13_0_10.zip

Simply download the MSI to the tester's computer, double click on the MSI, let it do it's thing and the app should now start to work. You will then have to decide the best way to deploy the runtime to your customers. Note the above links are from the doc referenced by Don.
